It has been fourteen years since we moved into the house and loved the home but realized over time that certain things need to adapt as the girls got bigger. We One of the rooms we focused on making changes to was to update our Guest bathroom. The bathroom came with a pedestal sink, builder-grade fixtures and mirror. It was time to update the bathroom and bring life into the space and much needed storage.
Before updated bathroom
I found this amazing wallpaper on Target.com made by Rifle Paper and this was the focal point and design feature that I would build the look upon.
We started by removing the pedestal sink, builder mirror and all hardware. We taped the mirror in case of breakage.
We then had to fill the holes, patch the wall, and then sand it. This part was more difficult than anticipated and after applying paint, we realized that the sanding needed to be more smooth as you can still see the areas we patched. We plan to update this in the future.
From there we selected paint, painted, installed the new vanity, mirror and gold hardware.
After
We love the final look, it is rich and classy and very different from the light farmhouse beach style we have elsewhere in our home.
We are thrilled with the outcome of this updated bathroom!
